Persona Feature Exploration

Capturing Your Persona is a breeze with Vision Pro. The process is simple yet incredibly accurate, allowing you to capture your unique essence with just a few taps. Whether you’re adjusting lighting, temperature, or even adding glasses, Persona gives you complete control over how you want to present yourself to the world.

But Persona isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about expressing yourself in new and innovative ways. From creating virtual avatars to using expression tools, Persona opens up a world of possibilities for personalization and creativity.

  1. Go to Settings > Persona and tap Get Started.
  2. Follow the steps to set up your hands and watch a tutorial video to learn how to use Persona effectively. If you’ve already seen the video, you can skip it by tapping Continue.
  3. When asked, hold Apple Vision Pro in front of you at eye level, following the spoken instructions. You’ll be prompted to turn your head and make different facial expressions.
  4. If you can’t hear the instructions, look at the front display for visual cues:
  5. Arrows show which way to turn your head.
  6. Rings around your face indicate actions like smiling or raising your eyebrows.
  7. After capturing your Persona, you can edit it. Adjust lighting, temperature, brightness, or add glasses.
  8. For example, choose Studio for bright lighting or Contour for dramatic shadows and highlights.
  9. Tap the Back button to return to previous settings.
  10. When you’re done editing, tap Save.

Here are the tips simplified:

  1. Take your time to get ready. Make sure you’re holding your Apple Vision Pro at eye level before starting the capture.
  2. If you don’t start capturing within 15 minutes, it will be cancelled. You can start again by putting your Apple Vision Pro back on.
  3. Choose a place with even lighting on your face. Avoid shadows and bright lights from above or behind you.
  4. Stand or sit in front of a simple background without too much going on.
  5. Stay in the same spot and position while capturing your Persona.
  6. Relax your shoulders while holding Apple Vision Pro.
  7. Natural, genuine facial expressions work best for capturing your Persona.

Surprising Discoveries

One of the most surprising things we found with Persona is its versatility. While we expected it to be a powerful tool for editing photos and videos, we were blown away by its potential applications for accessibility. From providing low vision users with enhanced visibility options to assisting those with mobility limitations in creating virtual avatars, Persona is truly a game-changer for inclusivity.

We were also impressed by how seamlessly Persona integrates with other Vision Pro features. Whether you’re using voice commands to navigate the interface or leveraging AI-powered tools for editing, Persona works hand-in-hand with other features to create a seamless and intuitive experience.

Overall Impressions

Our overall impression of Persona is overwhelmingly positive. Not only does it offer a wide range of editing options and customization features, but it also has the potential to make technology more accessible and inclusive for all users. Of course, like any beta release, there are still areas for improvement, but we’re excited to see how Persona evolves in the future.
